Small NDI encoder interface for HDMI video sources. Connect your camera or other video source and make it instantly available on your NDI-enabled network. Despite its size, the BirdDog Mini supports resolutions of 1080p up to 59.94 fps. It accepts PoE, so the Mini can be powered through a network connection; no power supply is required. Count information is displayed and passed through to a compatible computer. The small size of the Mini will do it at home in studios and video production facilities using NDI technology.
A built-in two-color count display can show information from the video source on the air. The count information is also passed through the supported monitoring equipment.
You can power the Mini through the DC input of the D-tap camera battery, or use a separately available power adapter. Power can also be supplied over the Ethernet via a PoE-enabled switch or injector.
Using BirdDog's custom silicon chip, Mini can view any Full NDI content on the network and with BirdDog's Web Console can route it to Mini for HDMI output to a screen or projector. Perfect for digital signage, sports stadiums, houses of worship, IMAG, and any application that needs content on screens. Combine Mini with the optional Central application and you have an incredibly easy to use yet incredibly powerful content distribution system. Mini hardware only encodes and decodes the entire NDI® YUV422.
Mini includes the free audio intercom software, Comms Lite. Comms Lite supports four BirdDog devices and a central computer.
