27" IPS reference monitor, ideal for video editing and post-production, photography, graphic arts and creative environments. It offers excellent quality and sharp images, thanks to its high contrast ratio 1.500:1 in high resolution 2560x1440 and a brightness of 350cd/m2, thus providing a very precise processing of the structures and graphics displayed on the screen. The wide-range IPS panel allows a viewing angle of 178 degrees without loss of chromaticity or contrast, even viewing from the sides.
The monitor offers optimal colour reproduction. It features an integrated self-calibration sensor for trouble-free monitor maintenance, vivid colours reproduced to industry standards and exceptionally high contrast to produce true blacks. Automate calibration with the sensor on the front bezel. The sensor moves on the screen only when calibrated, eliminating the need for a calibration device from another manufacturer. It even works while the monitor is in portrait mode.
ColorNavigator 7 is the latest calibration and quality control software for ColorEdge color management monitors. It combines all the features of EIZO's previous color management software, ColorNavigator 6 and ColorNavigator NX, to create a new and enhanced solution for creatives in a wide range of fields. Proprietary software simplifies calibration and produces reliable results for photography, design, printing and video creation.
ColorNavigator Network provides centralized quality control of ColorEdge monitors that have ColorNavigator 7 or NX installed. Administrators can set color modes, schedule autocalibration, log or adjust asset management settings and other tasks, whether the monitors are local or remote. ColorNavigator Network is hosted on a secure cloud server to free you from the initial investment and running costs of providing your own server.
ColorEdge CG2730 reproduces almost the entire Adobe RGB color space, so images taken in Adobe RGB will display correctly. Photos of vibrant blue skies and lush green forests are faithfully reproduced in a way that monitors limited to a sRGB color space cannot display. The wide color gamut also ensures the reproduction of almost all ISO-coated and US-coated CMYK color spaces on the web that are used in printing. It also reproduces 98% of the DCI-P3 color space used in post-production.
Using the DisplayPort or HDMI inputs, the ColorEdge CG2730 offers 10-bit simultaneous viewing from a 16-bit query table (LUT), which means it can display more than a billion colors simultaneously. This is 64 times more colors than with an 8-bit display, resulting in smooth color gradations and Delta-E reduction between two adjacent colors.
The gamma level of each ColorEdge monitor is factory-set by measuring gamma R, G, and B values from 0 to 255, and then using the monitor's 16-bit query table (LUT) to select the most appropriate tones and achieve the desired value. This ensures the smoothest color gradations in your images.
The color and brightness of an LCD monitor may vary due to changes in the ambient temperature and the temperature of the monitor itself. ColorEdge monitors are equipped with a temperature sensor to accurately measure the temperature inside the monitor, as well as to estimate the temperature of the working environment. With this temperature detection and estimation technology, the monitor adjusts in real time so that gradations, color, brightness, and other features continue to be displayed accurately.
A typical monitor takes 30 minutes or more to stabilize because of its brightness, chromaticity, and tone characteristics. ColorEdge CG2730 takes only 3 minutes. Whether you're working in a studio or taking your monitor with you, you'll get a reliable color screen soon after you turn on your monitor.
Fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity in different parts of the screen are a common feature of LCD monitors. To counteract this, ColorEdge monitors are equipped with EIZO's patented Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology to ensure stable image display and counteract the influences that a fluctuating temperature can have on color temperature and brightness for stable image display.
In accordance with the DCI standard, the ColorEdge CG2420 offers a high contrast ratio of 1500:1 to produce true blacks that would otherwise be difficult to display on a typical LCD monitor. When viewing the screen from an angle in a dimly lit room, dark tones often appear off due to the display characteristics of the LCD backlights. The CG series is equipped with a delay film that allows tones to retain their depth even when viewed from an angle.
